Ariel Kor, PhD, is Israel-born and Singapore-bred, Ariel spent the last decade of his financial career as the Executive Director of Sampoerna Capital, an Asian multi-billion dollar private investment fund. He continues there as an advisor and director. Over the past several years Ariel has transitioned more fully into the world of psychology, earning a PhD in clinical psychology from Columbia University, Teachers College, with a focus on addiction. Ariel currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at the Inter-Disciplinary Center (IDC) in Herzliya, Israel, and is the Founder & Chairman of the Israel Center on Addiction. He was formerly a board member of the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Company, Harel Insurance Group (HARL:TA), and Singapore’s Hour Glass (HG:SP). He attained his BA as well as MA from Oxford University. Ariel serves as a board member of Maytiv at IDC, Meor Education & Leadership, Matan, the American Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) as well as the Haredi Institute for Public Affairs. He received an honorary doctorate from Bar-Ilan University and is an Honorary Fellow of IDC.
